Journey of midnight Mosque: from the bottom of a huge country, Canada to the top in 2010.
.
Simple lovely picture book written by Shazia Afzal teaches young children about very important lessons "union is strength". To raise funds, build and then ship a mosque/masjid from the bottom of Canada to the top wasn't easy at all. Mosque traveled more than 4,000 kilometers and it shows:
1.Hard work
2.Determination
3.Teamwork
4.Diversity etc.
1st masjid welcome feast was attended by Gwich'in first Nation elders, the Roman catholic deacon and pastors and the mayor of Inuvik.

"Never leave your kids unattended" unless they are with Sheikh in Palestine who can take them in past to teach them about "𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑗𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑦" which is mentioned in Quran Alhamdulillah.😅 The gift of Salah, meeting prophets on each sky and leading Salah for them in Al-Aqsa Mosque, riding Buraq and proving the physics law.
Beautiful yet complete guide with super cute illustrations.
Last Ramadan wasn't easy for us, not for any Muslim or anyone who had kind heart. What we saw in Palestine through our social media raised several questions among young and adults alike about "𝐷𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑐𝑘" and "𝐴𝑙-𝐴𝑞𝑠𝑎" mosque. Many of us tried to help kids in Palestine while looking for ways to reach them. All proceeds from this book can help them inshaAllah (𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑑𝑜 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑙𝑜𝑡𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑑𝑢𝑎𝑠)
The Grand Mosque of Paris:
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙚𝙙 𝙅𝙚𝙬𝙨 𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙩. I randomly found this book which is an eye opener, filled with facts and numbers. It's not about religion but it's all about humanity. It is the moral lesson that I got from this book.
.
Muslims were helping Jews by hiding them in basements of the grand mosque of Paris (𝐼 𝐺𝑜𝑜𝑔𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑎𝑠𝑗𝑖𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙 𝑖𝑛 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑟), while preparing fake birth certificates for them, fake graves to prove Nazi soldiers that they converted to Islam, just to save their lives from holocaust.
.
The most interesting part of this book was where Muslims enforced Nazis to remove their army shoes to enter masjid just to evacuate all those Jewish children and women hidden in the basement by telling them its respect of Mosque (𝑁𝑎𝑧𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑢𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝐽𝑒𝑤𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑜𝑠𝑞𝑢𝑒). It really gave me goosebumps and filled my eyes with tears by sensing life threatening danger. I would say it's highly recommended book if you are doing unit study with your kids about Palestine Insha'Allah as homeschooler.
Note: All pictures are self-taken by Earth Custodians and can't be used without permission.
